Randy Siegel presents “Every Day a Little Death” at the Junction

Please join us for our monthly art reception on Thursday, September 26th at 6 p.m. featuring the recent works of local painter Randy Siegel. The show is entitled, “Every Day a Little Death,” from the hit Broadway musical “A Little Night Music.” Siegel admits the theme may not be a popular one.

“My Southern mama once said that there are three topics one should never discuss with polite company: sex, religion and politics, but she left one out. In our feel-good society, death can be a real conversation killer,” he says with laugh.

“One of my favorite days of the year is November first, when many around the world celebrate the Day of the Dead or ‘Dia de Muertos.’ On this special day, we remember those friends and family members who have passed on before us. In this exhibit, I want to remember, honor, and celebrate not only those who have died, but the many little deaths that we experience over a lifetime, such as the death of a dream, relationship, or persona.”
