Third Thursday Art Reception featuring Allison Weeks Thomas

Join us this Thursday (2/16) for our monthly Third Thursday Artist Reception featuring local artist Allison Weeks Thomas. Thomas studied art as an undergrad at UNC Wilmington, and holds a masters in Illustration Design from SCAD. In her artist’s statement, she writes: “Through channeling the figures of Modigliani, breathing in the everyday influences of the surrounding flora and fauna, and discovering the simplicity and complexity of American Folk Art artistry, my current creative explorations have emerged and taken shape into a body of work with soft, feminine aesthetics contrasting in combination with bold texture and line work.”

Join us to view some of Allison’s most recent works, meet the artist and have a glass of wine! Third Thursdays are a part of a larger Depot Streetwide event. Artist reception kicks off at 6:30.
