Allison Weeks Thomas returns for Third Thursday
Please join us for our Third Thursday art reception on May 16th at 6 pm. This month we are
excited to welcome back WNC based artist, Allison Weeks Thomas. Allison’s whimsical, romantic paintings graced our walls to much acclaim in February of 2012 and we are delighted to exhibit her latest work, a collection entitled, “Wildlings.”
Allison’s bio reads: Art and creative writing have long been passions of the Eastern North Carolina native, Allison Weeks Thomas. She attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she earned her BA in Studio Art in 2004. In 2009, she earned her MA in Illustration Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
The Anticipation of Spring by Allison Weeks Thomas
Allison’s work in mixed media art explores her love of the ordinary and not so ordinary, a merging of fantasy and reality. When she grows up, she aspires to be an illustrator and writer of children’s books.
