On Sunday, October 22nd, The Junction served its final meal.
We want to express our sincere thanks to all of you who have been our patrons and guests over the last six and a half years – we are truly grateful for your support, your encouragement and your friendship. We also want to thank the many talented and passionate employees we have had over the years. Their hard work, personalities and dedication to excellence helped make the Junction what it was. We have met many remarkable people and have been touched by your love for and loyalty to our little restaurant. Thank you for making it part of your life. We quite literally could not have done it without you.
As you may have heard, we recently sold the restaurant to Shannon and Josiah McGaughey, proprietors of Salt & Smoke, a much beloved local food truck. They will be transitioning the space into a new concept of their own, and see it as an opportunity to fulfill a long held dream, much as we did when we opened The Junction in May of 2011. Although it is certainly bittersweet to say goodbye, we are confident that Shannon and Josiah will continue to anchor our spot on Depot Street with great food, drink and service.
As for us, we have simply outgrown the lifestyle that the restaurant industry demands and we want more time with our two daughters, whom many of you have watched grow up. We are staying in Asheville and will continue to be involved in this incredible community. Charles is joining Mosaic Realty and expanding his experience in local commercial and residential real estate. Tanya will remain at Dwellings, where she is a design and sales associate. We look forward to seeing you around town.
With immense gratitude,
Charles & Tanya Triber
